The City of Dallas Certified as a Bronze Bicycle Friendly Community

The City of Dallas has been certified as a bronze Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists!

This award represents the vibrant bike community that many many people have built here in Dallas and the hard work put in to make Dallas a bit better and safer to ride a bike every day. Bike Friendly South Dallas, Bike Friendly Oak Cliff, The Loop, Dallas Trails Coalition, iBike Rosemont, Hangover Riders, and so many more organizations, bike shops, local businesses, and social rides make our city so special. This award is yours!

“Bicycling is more than just a mode of transportation—it’s a powerful tool for building healthier communities, fostering sustainability, and connecting people,” said Bill Nesper, executive director of the League of American Bicyclists. “The cities and towns recognized in this round of Bicycle Friendly Community awards are leading the way by investing in infrastructure and programs that make biking an easier, safer, and more accessible choice. Their leadership demonstrates that supporting bicycling is an investment in a healthier future for everyone.”

Dallas Bicycle Coalition believes that Dallas can become a safe, popular, and convenient place to ride a bike, and we’re grateful to the City of Dallas and the League of American Cyclists for moving our city toward this goal.
